Contact details on litter bins

The contact details will enable people to easily alert the council to instances where the bins are overflowing or have been vandalised.

The new notices form part of a review of the receptacles to be carried out by Arun District Council by mid-2009.

The comprehensive survey and location-logging exercise will seek to use the help of town and parish councils.

It will take place through the joint area committees where all the local authorities are members.

Once completed, the information from the survey will enable accurate decisions to be made about the provision of new bins and the maintenance of the existing ones.
