Container unit destroyed by blaze

A container unit believed to have been used as an office was destroyed by fire.

West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service were called at just before 11pm last night to Dankton Lane in Sompting, where the fire occurred.

Two fire engines were sent from Worthing Fire Station, and a Land Rover was sent from Shoreham Fire Station to help access the site.

The fire was put out using a compressed air foam system, two breathing apparatus and cutting equipment.

The three by five metre container unit, which the fire service believe was used as an office, was completely destroyed by the blaze.

No-one was injured, and the cause of the fire is currently unknown.

Firefighters left the scene at just before 1am this morning.
