An Eastbourne teenager has been chosen as one of the national finalists to appear in the national search for the next Miss Teen British Isles.
Out of thousands of entries the judges have now completed their selection process and Megan McHale has won a coveted place in the finals of Miss Teen British Isles at the Hilton Hotel in Liverpool on Sunday April 26.
The 15-year-old is now one step closer to realising her dream of becoming a model.
Megan, who lives in Eastbourne with her family and goes to St Richard’s, said she was delighted and felt it would be a great way to develop her modelling career, win prizes, get exposure in press and on social media and have her details sent to UK modelling agencies.
Megan. a former St Thomas a Becket School pupil, is keen on football, athletics and yoga and has started doing her Duke of Edinburgh Award.
Each finalist wins prizes worth hundreds of pounds to help with their modelling career just for taking part in the final.
Past winners of Miss British Isles have modelled in America and appeared on TV.
To take part in the national final, Megan is seeking a sponsor to help with the costs of taking part and is hoping a local business will be willing to help her.

ALBA, the model industry watchdog, will be supervising the event and helping with the selection of the judges.
The Miss Teen British Isles competition is a one day event with a judging panel made up of industry experts.
