Controversial plan before parish council again

Developer Hanbury recently withdrew their controversial plans to build 104 homes at the site, due to objections raised from those living in and around the area.

The plans were submitted in May of this year and were due to be determined by August.

Initially when the plans went before the parish council back in July they offered no objection with four in favour, two against and one abstention.

The recently amended plans submitted are for outline planning for 103 homes and open space.

Representatives from the Campaign to Protect Rural Pulborough Village (CPRPV) have said they will be present at the meeting and will be speaking about their views.

The group was formed in March in protest against these types of developments in their village.

The meeting will be held at 7.30pm tonight (Thursday) in The Meadows Hall at the village hall, Swan View, Pulborough.

Lorraine Dale of the group has said that they are to hold a meeting on Saturday December 10, at the village hall at 11am to which all residents of the village are invited to.

She said: “We aim to give a presentation regarding the development application and also about what CPRPV aims are.”
