CPRE: I have just read an amusing letter in a magazine headed What Does Winnie-the-Pooh do to Protect Rural England? The writer who says ‘you rightly mention that it will be the 90th birthday of Winnie-the-Pooh to celebrate 2016, but I am surprised that reference was not made to the fact that 2016 will also see the 90th anniversary of the founding of the CPRE, an organisation that has done so much for rural England.’ I do agree with the writer but I also love Winnie-the-Pooh.
