Copper piping worth £7,000 stolen from Beacon Community College in Crowborough

HEARTLESS thieves plundered £7,000 of copper piping from Beacon Community College in Crowborough.

They broke into the building site at the college in East Beeches Road between February 25 to 28, stealing the newly installed pipes.

Sussex Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

PC Kara Dengate from the Crowborough Neighbourhood Response Team said: “The theft of high value copper cabling is not only disruptive to the work being undertaken at the college, but costly too.

“If you witnessed anything suspicious on Crowborough Hill that weekend or have been offered copper piping for sale, please contact us immediately.”
