Council appeal for Seaford in Bloom volunteers

Seaford Town Council is appealing for people to volunteer for a new Seaford in Bloom group.

The council is keen to set up a replacement group after the last Seaford in Bloom group folded this year.

A number of volunteers have already stepped forward but the council would like more to get involved.

In the meantime the council decided at its meeting on Thursday September 26 to look after the group’s planters, baskets, boat and town centre displays in the mean time.

Seaford in Bloom folded after 24 years when its chairman Isabel Stephenson stood down due to illness.

It has left enough money to pay for floral displays in the town for three years. Call town council clerk Sam Shippen on 01323 894870.
