Counsellorin line for top award

A Bognor Regis health worker is in line for a top award.

Loretta Lunn has been nominated for the promoting recovery and independence prize at last Wednesday's Sussex Partnership NHS Trust award ceremony.

The nomination was in recognition of Loretta's role in supporting inmates in Ford Open Prison by providing specialist counselling services to help them to achieve a drug free life.

She was put forward for the award by integrated team manager Nadia Anderson. She said: 'Loretta has worked with the prison for ten years.

'Her enthusiasm and commitment have meant we have been able to improve and expand services and build strong relationships with partners.'

Some 450 NHS staff are expected to attend the ceremony in Brighton hosted by comedian and broadcaster Simon Fanshawe.

The Sussex Partnership Trust provides NHS mental health, specialist learning disability and substance misuse services throughout East and West Sussex. It employs 5,000 people from about 200 sites and spends 124m a year.
