COUNTY TIMES FIRE: Fire doors saved the building
THE fire doors inside the historic offices of the West Sussex County Times appear to have saved the building, and minimised the damage from tonight’s blaze.
Editor-in-chief of the County Times Gary Shipton said at 9pm: “I have just spoken to the fire officers and they have shown me internal photographs of the building.
“They tell me that the damage is far less severe than was originally feared thanks to the fire doors.”
