County Times readers vote on Christmas songs

In a festive online poll County Times readers have given the thumbs down to the recent Number One version of ‘Do They Know It’s Christmas’.

The song was one of three options in a ‘just-for-fun’ survey displayed on the website over the past week.

‘Do They Know It’s Christmas’ sung by Band Aid 30 is the fourth version of the song released with 1984 and sales are raising money for the ebola crisis, but it was only a hit with 15 per cent of respondents.

‘Hark The Herald Angels Sing’ came top with 44 per cent and ‘Merry Christmas Everyone’ by Shakin’ Steven came in second place with 41 per cent.

This week’s poll, displayed in the panel to the right, is asking reader for their favourite of a new trio of Christmas songs.
