Simon Buckley and Jane Hedger took over popular café Wrights, in Worthing town centre, in May.

But on top of this, Simon has also used over 30 years of his experience as a golf pro to identify a gap in the market for a ladies’ golf clothing website, which he launched in June.

He said: “I’ve been selling golf specific ladies’ and men’s clothing for many years at the shop I ran, but felt there was a huge gap in the market for a premium online ladies’ wear retailer.

“I’m delighted with how it has taken off already by word of mouth, but I am looking forward to seeing it fully launched on a national and European basis.”

While the couple do not have any prior experience in running cafés, it has always been a long-standing ambition of Jane’s to do so.

She said: “I have always fancied it. I decided on a complete change.

“We didn’t think about it too much before taking it over – if you think about it too much, you wouldn’t ever do it.”
