Couple’s dream wedding in Arundel

WHO would have predicted that a meeting over a pilfered pudding would lead to a dream wedding in Arundel?

That is exactly what happened to happy couple Wayne Ladd and Helen Evans, who met seven years ago at a barbecue, after Helen’s dog had stolen Wayne’s piece of chocolate cake.

Helen never expected to hear from Wayne again, but he got in touch with her and, eventually, the couple got engaged.

Since then, the pair had been saving for a big wedding.

Until, that is, they won a competition to win a wedding at Arundel’s Norfolk Arms Hotel, which Helen’s mum had spotted. The competition, which featured in the Herald and Gazette, attracted hundreds of entries from across East and West Sussex.

Speaking of her big day, Helen, of Netherfield, East Sussex, said: “From the outset, our wedding co-ordinator, Nicky, made us feel special and the team at the hotel did everything they could to make it a perfect day.”

The Norfolk Arms Hotel provided everything for the day, from the ceremony room to the celebratory drinks, through to the meal and sparkling wine for the toast, and even the evening party and wedding buffet.

The hotel is able to offer fully inclusive packages for 60 guests during the day and evening from £3,520.
