February 8:

Sam Bell, 28, of Princes Road, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to driving a Peugeot car on Langney Rise, Eastbourne, on November 26, with cannabis and cocaine in his bloodstream. He was fined £350 and banned from driving for 17 months.

Mark Butler, 42, of Arundel Road, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to driving a Renault vehicle on Barnhorn Road, Bexhill, on October 18, without due care and attention. He was fined £170 and his driving record was endorsed with six penalty points.

Trevor Egglesden, 62, of Eastbourne Road, Pevensey Bay, pleaded guilty to driving a Mercedes car on Priory Road, Eastbourne, on January 21, while more than twice over the drink-drive limit. He gave a breath alcohol reading of 80 microgrammes. The legal limit is 35mg. He also pleaded guilty to driving without a licence. He was fined £340 and banned from driving for 20 months.

Baillie Van Der Vlist, 19, of Bridgemere Road, Eastbourne, was banned from keeping any animal for two years after pleading guilty to causing unnecessary suffering to a pet dog by pouring hot tea over it. The offence took place at Eastbourne on January 20. He also pleaded guilty to causing damage to property on the same date. He was given a one-year conditional discharge and ordered to pay £39.44 in compensation.

Ittrachen Baby, 24, of High Street, Hailsham, pleaded guilty to causing serious injury to others while driving a Renault Scenic car dangerously on the A27 Lewes Road, at Polegate, on September 6 last year. He also pleaded guilty to being twice over the legal drink-drive limit. He gave a blood alcohol reading of 161 milligrammes. The legal limit is 80mg. In addition he pleaded guilty to driving with no insurance or licence. He was committed to Lewes Crown Court for sentencing and released on bail.

February 9:

Alan Hollis, 38, of Ash Close, Hampden Park, pleaded guilty to two charges of assaulting a police officer and a charge of using threatening behaviour. The offences took place at the Eastbourne District General Hospital on July 18 last year. He also admitted being in breach of supervision requirements imposed following release. The court made a community order with a drugs rehabilitation requirement.

Louise Andrews, 34, of Leslie Street, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to stealing a Fitbit tracker worth £79.99 from Boots, at Eastbourne, on October 10 last year. The court made a community order with a requirement of 80 hours of unpaid work and ordered her to pay £79.99 in compensation.

Troy Pynn, 21, of Fountains Close, Eastbourne, was found guilty of driving a Ford Transit on Chaucer Industrial Estate, Dittons Road, Polegate, on July 8 last year without insurance. He was fined £180 and ordered to pay £350 in prosecution costs. His driving record was endorsed with six penalty points.

February 10:

Susan Murray, 48, of Birling Street, Eastbourne, was found guilty of assaulting a woman by beating her and of using threatening behaviour. The offences took place at Eastbourne on August 13 last year. She was fined £357 and ordered to pay £660 in prosecution costs.

February 13:

Reece Maas, 28, of Irlam Road, Manchester, pleaded guilty to being in possession of a quantity of cannabis. The offence took place at Wharf Road, Eastbourne, on December 10. He was given a one-year conditional discharge.

Alfie Pitt, 19, of Beckley Close, St Leonards, pleaded guilty to assault by beating. The offence took place at Terminus Road, Eastbourne, on August 14 last year. He was sentenced to eight weeks in prison, suspended for one year. Magistrates said the reason for the sentence was that it was considered to be ‘particularly nasty with the victim subject to a group attack and kicked while he was on the ground’. They also made a community order with a requirement of 10 hours of unpaid work and ordered him to pay £100 in compensation and £100 in prosecution costs.

Liam Richardson, 27, of Percival Road, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to assaulting a woman by beating her and to causing damage to property. The offences took place at Eastbourne on January 11. He was given a two-year conditional discharge.

February 15:

Tara Bruce, 42, of Stanier Street, Hailsham, pleaded guilty to stealing four bottles of spirits, worth £90, from Waitrose, in Hailsham, on January 9. She was given a six- month conditional discharge.

Daryl Lee, 23, of the Hydneye, Hampden Park, pleaded guilty to assaulting a police officer, resisting a police officer and being in possession of a quantity of cannabis. The offences took place at Terminus Road, Eastbourne, on December 24. He was fined a total of £200 and ordered to pay £100 in compensation.

Alex White, 24, of Kings Drive, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to being in possession of a wrap of cocaine and to having a knuckle duster in a public place. The offences took place at Milfoil Drive, Eastbourne, on December 4 last year. The court made a community order with a requirement of 120 hours of unpaid work.
