The following are court results from Hastings Magistrates' Court which covers the Eastbourne area from April 20 - April 27.

April 20:

Jemma Williams, 30, of Court Lodge Close, Lower Dicker, Hailsham, pleaded guilty to driving a Mini car on the A271 at Herstmonceux, on April 3 while more than three times over the drink drive limit. She gave a breath alcohol reading of 115 microgrammes. The legal limit is 35mg. She also pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention on the same date. The court made a community order and banned her from driving for 26 months.

Kieran Gilmore, 25, of Austen Walk, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to stealing eight cans of Kronenberg lager worth £9.49 from McColls, at Eastbourne, on March 3. He was fined £120 and ordered to pay compensation of £9.49.

Ferenc Kiraly, 33, of Wilmington Square, Eastbourne pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in a public place. The offence took place at Langney Road, Eastbourne, on March 19. He was fined £60.

April 26:

Louise Andrews, 33, of Cavendish Place, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to stealing food items worth £49.18 from Tesco at Grove Road, Eastbourne, on February 16. The court made a community order with a requirement for a 12 week electronically monitored curfew between 9pm and 6am.

Geoffrey Thomas, 41, of Upton Road, Wirral, pleaded guilty to assault by beating, which took place at Eastbourne on July 17. He also pleaded guilty to being in possession of cannabis resin at Eastbourne on November 11 and to stealing goods worth £12.89, from Martins Newsagents, Eastbourne, on November 11. He was sentenced to 21 days in prison, suspended for one year.

April 27:

Clifford Hawkes, 55, of Seaford Road, Alfriston, pleaded guilty to assault by beating on April 7. The offence took place at Hailsham Road, Polegate. He was fined £100.

Declan Hutchinson, 32, of Langney Road, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to threatening unlawful violence. The offence took place at Foxglove Road, Eastbourne, on February 29. He was committed to Lewes Crown Court for sentencing.

Gracious Nyanhete, 22, of The Avenue, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to being in possession of cannabis at Beach Road, Eastbourne, on April 9. He also admitted being in breach of a suspended sentence, made by Lewes Crown Court for an offence of burglary. He was committed to Lewes Crown Court for sentencing.

Ruth Ryan, 45, of St Philips Place, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to harassment between March 7 and 13, in that she attended an address in Havelock Road, Eastbourne, kicking at the door in a drunken state and banging on it and making allegations. The court made a community order with an alcohol treatment requirement and also issued a restraining order.

Toni Young, 29, of Brunel Drive, Hailsham, pleaded guilty to driving a Honda Civic on Gleneagles Drive, Hailsham, on February 22 while more than twice over the drink drive limit. She gave a breath alcohol reading of 93 microgrammes. The legal limit is 35mg. She also pleaded guilty to driving with no insurance and to driving with cocaine in her bloodstream on the same date. She was banned from driving for 28 months and the court made a community order with a requirement of a three month electronically monitored curfew between 8pm and 6am.

Teri Bailey-Rumsey, 23, of Seaside Road, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to driving at Diplocks Way, Hailsham, on April 12 while disqualified. She also pleaded guilty to driving with no insurance and obstructing a police officer. She was sentenced to eight weeks in prison, suspended for a year. The court also made a community order with a requirement of 80 hours of unpaid work.
