Crack down onlitter at Northiam

NORTHIAM Parish Council is working with police and local shops in a bid to beat litter bugs.

And the council is also urging dog owners to clean up after their animals.

Parish Clerk Sue Keighley says there has been an increase in littering during the summer months.

She said: “There has been a particular problem on Goddens Gill.

“The Council has asked police to pay attention to the area and will be liaising with local food outlets to try and find a solution.

“Dropping litter is a criminal offence and should be reported to the police.”
