'Cracking campus' plan wins support

NEW £2.5million redevelopment plans for The Angmering School will create a 'high quality' environment for its students.

An application has been submitted for a new two-storey sixth form block, as well as the transformation of an existing building into a state-of-the-art IT and resource centre.

Delighted head teacher David Brixey said: "I have been working on this idea for seven or eight years so it's really exciting. I'm really looking forward to seeing it finished. Personally, it will be a huge achievement.

"I think it gives us an opportunity to take the school forward."

The new sixth form block will replace an old temporary building and Mr Brixey added: "We're going to bring together a common room and new study facilities with some special sixth form teaching rooms.

"It's largely about making sure we have a high-quality learning environment for the students."
