The incident took place at 6.35pm with a spokesman for Sussex Police saying one person had received minor injuries.

Earlier in the day, at about 3pm, a collision between two cars took place less than half-a-mile away, by the junction of Horsemere Green Lane and Yapton Road.

Paramedics were on the scene. However, no one was seriously injured and the road was not blocked.

Heavy fog and mist is effecting much of the Gazette area, with visibility significantly reduced.

Motorists should take caution when driving.

Updates to follow when they are available.
