Crews called to lorry fire in Heathfield

East Sussex Fire and Rescue service were called to reports of a lorry fire in Heathfield yesterday afternoon (April 6).

One appliance from Heathfield was mobilised to the scene on A267 New Pond Hill at 2:42pm.

Crews used one hose reel jet to put out the fire. A thermal imaging camera was used to check for fire spread and crews spent time cutting away to ensure the fire was fully extinguished.

Firefighters left the scene just before 4pm.
