Crews called to chimney fire in Chiddingly

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service were called at 7.23pm on Tuesday (April 7) to reports of a chimney fire in Chiddingly. A fire engine from Hailsham was sent to the scene on Nash Street.

Crews used a specialist chimney kit, a hose reel and ladder to put the fire out.

There are no reports of injuries, the fire service said.

The fire service has issued advice on its website to help prevent chimney fires.
