Crews called to shed fire in Ditchling

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service were called to reports of a shed fire in Ditchling this morning (Monday, May 9).

One appliance from Lewes was mobilised to the scene on East End Lane, Ditchling at 11:31am.

On arrival, crews confirmed one shed was well alight. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.

The fire has been confirmed as accidental and crews spent time providing the residents with a home safety visit before leaving the scene at 12:52pm.
