12 people have been arrested throughout the Wealden district over the past seven days, Sussex Police have confirmed.

A spokesperson for Sussex Police said: “Last week, there were a total of 12 arrests made throughout Wealden.

"Six individuals were arrested for assault in Hailsham, Polegate, Forest Row, Uckfield and Upper Dicker.

“We made three arrests for possession with intent to supply class A drugs in Hailsham and Hellingly.

"One arrest was made for criminal damage in Wadhurst.

"The public play a big part in helping us keep our communities safe, by reporting crucial information to us.
