Bexhill ice cream hut burgled and glass smashed by vandals

Glass panels were smashed and an ice cream hut was burgled, with cash stolen, police said.

Sussex Police has now launched an appeal for information.

A spokesman for the force said: “In total, several glass panels were smashed; one ice cream hut was broken into and cash, drinks and ice cream were stolen.

“Attempts were made to access a second ice cream hut but this was unsuccessful.

“The pavilion globe lights were smashed, glass above the rowing club was smashed, and a stone was thrown through the window of the coastal office.”

The spokesman said the vandalism happened last night (Sunday, November 22).

Anyone with information should call police on 101, quoting serial 118 of 23/11.
