Bexhill shop assistant threatened during robbery

Police are searching for a man who threatened a counter assistant and stole cigarettes from a shop in Bexhill.

Police issued the appeal on Wednesday (March 31) after the man entered the One-Stop shop in Turkey Road, Bexhill, and stole a small quantity of cigarettes, at 9.50pm on Thursday, March 4.

He is described as white, 6ft, of medium build, with light brown hair which was long, wearing a jacket with a hood which was turned inside out, with a cammo top underneath and wearing a face mask.

Detective Constable Nick Arthur said; “Do you recognise this man, who put the assistant in fear by his aggression and threats. If you were in the area at the time or if you can help in any way, please contact us either online or by calling 101, quoting serial 767 of 04/03.”
