Bexhill woman wakes up to find man leaning through her bedroom window

At about 4.30am, on Tuesday (July 20) the woman, in her twenties, awoke to see him leaning in through her open ground floor bedroom window in London Road, Bexhill, police said.
He then made an indecent remark, according to police, whereupon she managed to close the window and he made off from the scene.

Hide AdThe man, spotted on nearby CCTV, was described by police as white, wearing a baseball-style cap, glasses, grey winter gloves, and dark clothing, with a grey top of some kind in his waist band, on a very warm summer night.
Detective Sergeant Paul Elrick said: “Do you recognise this man? This was a frightening and very unpleasant experience for the victim, although it is an isolated incident and we have not had anything similar in the area. We want to find him and establish exactly what he was up to.
