Bexhill woman wakes up to find man leaning through her bedroom window

Police are searching for a man who subjected a young woman to a frightening experience in her own bedroom in Bexhill.

At about 4.30am, on Tuesday (July 20) the woman, in her twenties, awoke to see him leaning in through her open ground floor bedroom window in London Road, Bexhill, police said.

He then made an indecent remark, according to police, whereupon she managed to close the window and he made off from the scene.

The man, spotted on nearby CCTV, was described by police as white, wearing a baseball-style cap, glasses, grey winter gloves, and dark clothing, with a grey top of some kind in his waist band, on a very warm summer night.
