BMX bike and tools stolen as Horsham district properties targeted at weekend

A child’s BMX bike was among the items stolen as burglars attempted to break in to three properties in the Horsham district over the weekend.

A garage in Cherry Tree Close, Billingshurst, was broken into between 7.30pm on Friday June 26 and 10pm on Saturday June 27.

The burglar gained entry by forcing open a door, which caused damage.

A child’s Zinc BMX bike was stolen. The bike is orange in colour with black wheels, handlebars and writing.

Police are appealing for witnesses. Anyone with information can email [email protected] or call 101 quoting serial 679 of 27/06.

Various items were stolen when a development in Billingshurst Road, Broadbridge Heath was broken into while workers were away from the site over the weekend.

Tools were stolen from an internal cupboard including a Makita chop saw, spirit level and a Festool vacuum.

A break-in attempt at a house in Horsham between 6.30pm and 10pm on Friday was unsuccessful.

Tool marks were found on and around the front door of the home in The Crescent but no entry was gained and no items were taken.
