Boy left with fractured eye socket after teens attacked by men

A boy was left with a broken eye socket and a fractured cheekbone after two men attacked a group of teenagers.

Police said five 16-year-old boys were attacked by the men at the junctions of Sackville Road, Hove Street, Church Road and New Church Road in Hove in the early hours of Saturday June 22.

In details released by officers today (July 2) they said money was taken from one of the teens whilst another suffered the facial injuries.

The incident happened between 2.30am and 3am.

Both the attackers were described as white and in their early twenties. Police said one was about 6ft, of skinny build,and short dark hair, wearing a orange/red coat with blue at the bottom. The other one was 5’10”, of chubby build with very short hair, wearing a grey tracksuit with hoody.

Detective Constable Darran Newman said; “If you saw this pair that night, or if you know who they might be, please contact us online or by calling 101, quoting serial 180 of 23/06.
