Brighton man arrested and jailed over assault
A Brighton man who was wanted over the assault of a woman has been jailed, police said.
Sussex Police said Samuel Boyce, 27, appeared at Brighton Magistrates Court on Monday (January 21), and pleaded guilty to assault by beating.
He was sentenced to 16 weeks in prison and was served with a restraining order prohibiting him from contacting the woman until further notice.
Officers had issued an appeal for his whereabouts on January16.
