Burglars target farms around Horsham

Burglars have targeted a number of farms in the Horsham area over the past few weeks.

Police say they received ‘several reports’ of intruders with dogs on farmland in Adversane, near Billingshurst, at around 10.30pm on April 1.

The previous day several intruders were spotted in two vehicles around farm buildings near Southwater.

And two men twice drove a pick-up vehicle down a driveway to stables on a farm near Billingshurst on April 3. Police say the men fled when they were spotted jumping a fence into a yard.

In another incident two non-road legal quad bikes were stolen from a garden in Cootham near Storrington on April 2. One is a blue 100cc and the other a black 50cc machine.

Meanwhile, burglars stole tools when they broke into a barn on a farm in Storrington on April 10.

Anyone with any information about the incidents is asked to call police on 101.
