Cannabis cultivation setup fly-tipped in Polegate

The remnants of a cannabis growing site has been found dumped by the side of the road, according to police.

The fly-tipping was found in Thornwell Road, Wilmington, and police said they we were made aware of the issue by Wealden District Council.

A spokesperson from Sussex Police said, “On July 15 we investigated a report of a fly-tip near Polegate alongside Wealden District Council.

“It appears to be the remnants of a cannabis cultivation setup.

“This is another lesser-known, but still damaging, side effect of illegal substance production.”
