Cannabis farm found at Piltdown

A large scale cannabis farm was discovered by police when they followed a vehicle on Monday (December 10) at Piltdown, near Uckfield.

Two men were arrested for cannabis production when they got out of the car and police discovered 920 cannabis plants in containers inside a large warehouse at small industrial estate at 2pm.

The men, one aged 21 from Warnlinglid, and the other aged 30 from Kent, have been questioned and released on bail until March 7.

Detective Sergeant Julie Dow said: “This was good work by officers who followed the vehicle and found this cannabis farm.

“The plants have a street value of £270,000 and we have made two arrests.”
