Car and lorry crash near Horsham: police appeal for dashcam footage after A281 collision

Sussex Police are appealing for witnesses after a crash involving a car and a lorry happened near Horsham on Wednesday, August 3.

Police said the incident took place at about 7.25am on the A281 Guildford Road.

A police spokesperson said: “It involved a black Kia and a blue and white Volvo lorry between the junction with Strood Lane and Rowhook Road, approaching the roundabout junction with the A29.

“The motorists involved suffered minor injuries but did not require hospital treatment.

“In particular, officers investigating the collision are keen to locate the driver of a vehicle travelling in the opposite direction on the A281 towards Strood Green or Broadbridge Heath, as they believe the motorist may have important information or dashcam footage.”

The third vehicle may have been a Ford Kuga, police said.

Police have urged witnesses, or anyone with relevant CCTV or dashcam footage of the incident, to report it to Sussex Police online, call 101, or email [email protected] and quote serial 217 of 03/08.
