Car theft in Chichester sparks police appeal

Police are calling for witnesses following a car theft in Chichester.

Sussex Police have confirmed they received a call at 6.25pm on Wednesday, June 1, after goods had been stolen from a vehicle in Westgate.

Items including loose change and a can of diesel are reported to have been stolen from a Volkswagen Jetta at 1.25am that day.

Police have described the suspect as a bald man in his 30s, of slim build, wearing glasses, a light grey or brown puffa jacket, jeans, dark trainers, a pale rucksack and a black watch on his right hand.

Witnesses are asked to contact [email protected] or call 101, quoting serial 1290 of 10/06.
