Cars vandalised with paint in Pagham

Cars parked in a quiet residential street in Pagham have been completely covered in white paint in an apparent act of vandalism.

Three cars are said to have been vandalised using white emulsion in Well Road overnight.

Mik Chinery, who lives in Well Road, said: “I got up this morning (Friday, August 11) at 6am and saw the three cars totally vandalised with white emulsion paint.

“It’s a very quiet neighbourhood here, not a lot goes on so it was quite a shock.”

A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “Police are investigating an incident in Pagham, Bognor Regis, in which three Ford Fiesta cars - one silver and two black - had white paint thrown over them.

“The offence occurred sometime between 5pm on Wednesday, August 9 and 6am on Friday, August 11.

“The vehicles were parked at the junction of Lagoon Road and Well Road and belong to a local car dealer.

“Anyone with information about the damage is asked to contact police online at https://sussex.police.uk/appealresponse or phone 101, quoting serial 242 of 11/08.”
