Court results - Crawley

The following are results from Sussex Northern magistrates sitting at Horsham and Crawley.

James Steele, 27, of Autumn Close, Crawley, was given a community order with a 12 week curfew, a £90 fine, a £20 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in Crawley, and admitted breaching a suspended sentence.

Maqsood Ali, 45, of Hambleton Hill, Crawley, was given a community order, with a £60 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to theft from Marks and Spencer in Crawley.

Andrew Dighton, 39, of no fixed address, was fined £50, with a £20 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to theft from Boots in Crawley.

James Llobet, 45, of Lansdowne Gardens, Bournemouth, was fined £150, with a £20 victim surcharge. He had pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly at Gatwick Airport and failing to answer bail, and admitted breaching a conditional discharge.

John Maughan, 22, of Worth Road, Crawley, was given a six month conditional discharge, with a £15 victim surcharge. He had pleaded guilty to breaching the Sexual Offences Act by failing to notify a change of address.

Karwan Mohammed, 29, of Hermitage Close, London, was fined £160, with a £20 victim surcharge, £85 costs, and six penalty points added to his licence. He had pleaded guilty to driving without insurance and driving without a licence, at Crawley.

Vimalraj Uthayan, 18, of Church Lane, Crawley, was given a one year conditional discharge, with a £15 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to possessing a Class B drug (cannabis) at Gatwick Airport.

Jaques Ginard, 26, of The Grooms, Worth, was given a community order, with £160 compensation. He had pleaded guilty to common assault, and to assaulting a police officer in Crawley.

Joshua Hewes, 19, of Silver Birches, Haywards Heath, was given a community order with 80 hours of unpaid work, a £60 victim surcharge, £85 costs, and £150 compensation. He had pleaded guilty to common assault and assaulting a police officer at Crawley, and using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause fear of violence at Lindfield.

Ricky Stevens, 53, of Newbury Road, Crawley, was fined £70, with a £20 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to theft from Asda in Crawley.

Daniel Standing, 29, of Wakehurst Drive, Crawley, was given a six month conditional discharge, with a £15 victim surcharge, and £45 costs. He had pleaded guilty to causing criminal damage to a window in Crawley.

Catalin Balcan, 36, of Mill Lane Trading Estate, Croydon, was banned from driving for a year, with a £250 fine, a £25 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to drink driving at Gatwick Airport.

David Bowden, 47, of Crescent Way, Horley, was fined £30, with a £20 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to entering Gatwick Airport while banned, and admitted breaching a conditional discharge.

Jason Edwards, 29, of Manning Close, East Grinstead, was banned from driving for three years, with a £165 fine, a £20 victim surcharge, and £620 costs. He had been found guilty of failing to provide a breath alcohol specimen in Crawley, and pleaded guilty to failing to answer bail.

Gary Walker, 46, of Shipley Road, Crawley, was given a community order with six months of alcohol rehabilitation, £204 compensation, and a £60 victim surcharge. He had pleaded guilty to three counts of theft from Asda in Crawley.

Karen Aiken, 50, of Paddockhurst Road, Crawley, was fined £150, with a £20 victim surcharge, and £110 costs. She had pleaded guilty to being the registered keeper of an uninsured vehicle.

Robert Conn, 36, of Forester Road, Crawley, was given a community order with six months of drug rehabilitation, a £60 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to theft of a jacket from TK Maxx in Crawley and theft of a crate of whisky from a Co-op in Horsham, and admitted breaching a conditional discharge.

Bruno Goncalves, 37, of Rosemead Gardens, Crawley, was fined £140, with a £20 victim surcharge, and £110 costs. He had pleaded guilty to being the registered keeper of an uninsured vehicle.

Dean Heron, 27, of Tushmore Lane, Crawley, was given a community order with £50 compensation, a £60 victim surcharge, and £200 costs. He had been found guilty of common assault in Crawley. A restraining order was made, barring him from contacting the victim, or going to an address in Crawley.

Jafar Asif, 19, of Kites Close, Crawley, was fined £50, with £75 compensation, a £20 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to common assault in Crawley.

Alfie Leech, 28, of The Ridgeway, Horley, was fined £210, with a £20 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in Crawley, and admitted breaching a suspended sentence.

Kebba Njie, 24, of Buckswood Drive, Crawley, was fined £50, with £75 compensation, a £20 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to common assault in Crawley.
