Court results - Crawley

The following are results from Sussex Northern magistrates sitting at Horsham and Crawley.

Lucienne Hachim, 42, of Slaugham Lane, Warninglid, was given an eight week jail sentence, suspended for a year, with 80 hours of unpaid work, an £80 victim surcharge, £85 costs, a £180 criminal courts charge, and an £80 fine. She had pleaded guilty to child neglect and possessing cannabis, in Crawley.

Daniel Capstick-Bedson, 37, of Climping Road, Ifield, was given an 18 month conditional discharge, with a £15 victim surcharge, £620 costs, and a £520 criminal courts charge. He had been found guilty of assault in Crawley.

Lloyd Francis, 24, of Chapel Park Road, St Leonards on Sea, was given a one year conditional discharge, with a £15 victim surcharge, and a £180 criminal courts charge. He had pleaded guilty to possessing cocaine, jumping over a security barrier at an airport search area, and assaulting a police officer, all at Gatwick Airport.

Dean Bethel, 35, of no fixed address, was ordered to pay £50.48 compensation, with a £180 criminal courts charge, and six penalty points added to his licence. He had pleaded guilty to making off without payment from a petrol station in Crawley, and to driving without insurance in Haywards Heath.

Abrazak Ghalghal, 39, of Framfield Close, Ifield, was given a two week jail sentence, with an £80 victim surcharge, and a £150 criminal courts charge. He had pleaded guilty to theft of alcohol from Morrisons in Crawley.

Amy Maslen, 43, of Loxwood Walk, Crawley, was banned from driving for 20 months, with a £690 fine, a £69 victim surcharge, £85 costs, and a £150 criminal courts charge. She had pleaded guilty to drink driving in Crawley.

Aaron McGrath, 23, of Oakhill Road, Sutton, was jailed for 18 weeks, with an £80 victim surcharge, and a £520 criminal courts charge. He had been found guilty on two counts of common assault. A restraining order was made, barring him from contacting the victim, or going to an address in Crawley.

Angela McNeil, 48, of Faygate Lane, Faygate, was given a community order, with a two year driving ban, a £160 fine, a £60 victim surcharge, £85 costs, and a £150 criminal courts charge. She had pleaded guilty to harassment and drink driving, both in Crawley, and admitted breaching a conditional discharge. A restraining order was made, barring her form contacting two named people, or going to an address in Crawley.

Roland Powell, 47, of Park Street, Horsham, was ordered to pay £100 compensation, with a £150 criminal courts charge. He had pleaded guilty to common assault in Horsham, and to assaulting a police officer in Crawley.

Andrew Deli, 51, of Camelot Court, Ifield, was given a community order with 40 hours of unpaid work, a £60 victim surcharge, £85 costs, and a £180 criminal courts charge. He had pleaded guilty to using racially aggravated threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour.

James Beechey, 30, of no fixed address, was fined £50, with a £20 victim surcharge. He had pleaded guilty to possessing a Class B drug (cannabis).

Callum Harris, 28, of Kensington Road, Crawley, was fined £15, with a £20 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to possessing a Class B drug (cannabis).

Slah Hassine, 45, of Ifield Road, Crawley, was given a community order, with a £230 fine, £250 compensation, a £60 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to two counts of common assault in Haywards Heath. A restraining order was made, barring him from contacting the victim, or going to an address in Haywards Heath.

Ryan Davis, 25, of Apsley Court, Bewbush, was given an eight month conditional discharge, with an £80 fine, a £20 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to two counts of assault, and to possessing a Class B drug (cannabis).

Claudia Obert, 54, of Stoke Mill Close, Guildford, was fined £900, with a £60 victim surcharge, £85 costs, and £100 compensation. She had pleaded guilty to being drunk on a flight to Gatwick, and to common assault at Gatwick Airport.

Jonathan Phelps, 33, of Freemantle Close, Oakridge, was given an eight week jail sentence, suspended for a year, with an £80 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to breaching a restraining order by going to an address in Crawley.

Ross Singleton, 28, of no fixed address, was fined £50, with a £20 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to causing criminal damage in Crawley.

Catherine Miller, 36, of Charrington Way, Broadbridge Heath, was given an 18 month conditional discharge, with a £15 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. She had pleaded guilty to common assault in Crawley.
