Court results - Horsham

The following are results from Sussex Northern magistrates sitting at Horsham and Crawley.

Louis Chadwick, 34, from Turkey, no fixed UK address, was banned from driving for two years, with a £2,835 fine, a £120 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to drink driving at Hickstead.

Hannah Crawford, 29, of Heath Close, Broadbridge Heath, was given a one year conditional discharge, with £100.60 compensation. She had pleaded guilty to one count of making off from a Crawley petrol station without paying, and asked for three other offences to be taken into consideration.

Arran Thomson, 18, of Linfield Copse, Thakeham, was banned from driving for a year, with a £170 fine, a £20 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to driving with illegal levels of a cannabis metabolite in his blood, at Storrington.


Hugh Whelan, 45, of St Margarets Road, Twickenham, was fined £190, with a £20 victim surcharge, £85 costs, and three penalty points added to his licence. He had pleaded guilty to speeding at Dial Post.

Fehad Javaid, 27, of Borrowdale Close, Crawley, was fined £250, with a £25 victim surcharge, £85 costs, and three penalty points added to his licence. He had pleaded guilty to driving without a licence at Handcross.

George Maguire, 22, of Broome Close, Horsham, was fined £460, with £100 compensation, a £20 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to using threatening or abusive words or behaviour, resisting a police officer, and two counts of common assault, all in Horsham.

Gavin Hart, 29, of West Chiltington Lane, Billingshurst, was given a two week prison sentence, suspended for a year. He had admitted breaching a community order for drink driving.

Simon Hibberd, 39, of Tilletts Lane, Warnham, had a rehabilitation requirement added to his community order. He had admitted breaching a community order.

Richard McCarthy, 21, of Broadwater Lane, Copsale, was fined £40, with £70 costs. He had admitted two counts of breaching a community order.
