Crowborough woman arrested following fatal collision

A 24-year-old woman from Crowborough has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving following a fatal collision yesterday, police have confirmed.

The incident took place on the A26 Eridge Road at the junction with Groombridge Lane in Eridge Green.

Police officers responded to reports of a collision involving a blue Ford KA and a black Sinnis Apachi motorcyle at 10.10pm.

The motorcyclist, a 24-year-old man from Tonbridge, was taken to Kings College Hospital, in London, where he later sadly died, police confirmed.

Next of kin have been informed.

A spokesman said: “Police would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has any dashcam footage to make contact with them either by email or by calling 101 quoting reference Operation Sound.”
