Cyclist suffered neck injuries after Angmering hit-and-run incident

A cyclist suffered neck injuries in a hit-and-run incident in Angmering, according to police.

Police said the 52-year-old cyclist was riding along Roundstone Lane at 12.09pm on Tuesday, June 2, when the car collided with his bicycle on the Roundstone roundabout.

He was knocked to the ground suffering neck injuries and deep cuts and lacerations, requiring hospital treatment.

Police said the car did not stop, but has been identified as a yellow or mustard-coloured Fiat 500 from a wing mirror that was detached in the collision and recovered from the scene.

A police spokesman said: "Anyone who witnessed the collision or who has any information about the car involved is asked to email [email protected] or call 101 quoting serial 617 of 02/06."
