Cyclist suffers serious injuries in Eastbourne hit-and-run

A Sussex Police spokesperson said, “Police are appealing for information after a cyclist suffered serious injuries in a suspected hit-and-run collision in Eastbourne.

“The 52-year-old cyclist was riding in Cavendish Avenue, approaching the traffic lights at the junction with Firle Road, when the incident occurred shortly before 5pm on Sunday, July 18.

“He sustained serious injuries that required hospital treatment.”

Police are urging anyone who saw what happened, or who may have CCTV or dash cam footage, to email [email protected] quoting serial 1042 of 18/07.
