Diesel worth £700 stolen from combine harvester

Police have issued information about a number of crimes in the area recently.

Around £700 worth of diesel was stolen from a Combine Harvester sometime between 10pm on August 27 and 12noon on August 28 from Reeds Lane, Sayers Common. The fuel pipe was cut then the diesel syphoned out.

A barn was broken into in Fox Hill, Haywards Heath, sometime between Thursday August 29 at 12.30pm and Friday August 30 at 12.30pm. Several items of gardening equipment have been stolen including the back wheels from a ride on lawn mower, a Husquavarna 18ins chainsaw, a hedge cutter and a portable Honda generator and extension lead.

Also, recently, two cricketers had cash stolen from their wallets whilst playing a game at Balcombe Cricket Club.

And a wacker plate and engine cover for a mini digger were stolen from High Street, Handcross.

A vehicle was also stolen from High Street, Handcross, and later recovered in the Pulborough area.

Last month a bag was stolen from an insecure vehicle parked in Staplefield Road, Handcross and digging buckets were stolen from excavators in London Road
