Dog walker ‘kicked and punched’

The victim was in a field near the Village Hall Nursery shortly after 12pm when she was approached by two women and attacked.

A spokesperson for Sussex Police said: “The incident happened around the time when children were being collected from the nursery and police believe there may be a number of witnesses.

“A 43-year-old woman from Coolham was arrested on suspicion of assault by beating and possession of cannabis and has been bailed until November 17.”
