A driver was caught doing almost double the speed limit on a road in Chichester on Thursday (November 5).

'Due to community concerns', police officers conducted speed gun checks on Stane Street in the early hours.

Chichester Police said a total of five Traffic Offence Reports (TORs) were issued to speeding motorists.

The highest speed was 56mph in the 30mph zone, police confirmed.
