Eastbourne assault: Pictures from the scene as police investigate

The investigation into a mysterious assault in Eastbourne this morning (November 7) is still ongoing, as the search continues for the victim.

Officers were called to Bourne Street just before 8am this morning to reports of a man being assaulted. When they arrived, a 38-year-old man was arrested but his suspected victim was nowhere to be seen. These pictures show the investigation at the scene.
