Keith Kingsbury will now have to walk an hour to work at Milton Grange respite service in Old Town.

The care worker, who has been self-isolating for 14 days as his nine-year-old son Krystian has suspected coronavirus, said his bike was taken from outside his home in Channel View Road.

“Then I came outside the other evening and my bike had been stolen. It’s my life. My pride and joy.”

Keith is returning to work on Friday (April 3) and he does not want to risk public transport as he works with elderly and vulnerable people.

The 47-year-old said, “It’s meant to be essential travel, the fact that people are exploiting that by stealing. It’s despicable.

“Police told me theft has gone through the roof.”

They believe the bright green Kawasaki ZZR1400 was taken from outside their home on Monday (March 30) between 7pm-9pm.

It was parked on the kerb, locked and fully covered with ropes wrapped around the wheels.

Keith believes he only has a few days before the bike is gone for good.

He said, “If someone sees it we can get it back. I need everyone looking for it. Please can everyone be vigilant and look for it.”

The registration is CN17OWO.
