Eastbourne murder suspect appears in court

A man accused of murdering his wife at her home in Eastbourne earlier this year has appeared in court this morning (Monday).

Raymond Hoadley appeared before a judge at Lewes Crown Court for a pre-trial hearing.

Hoadley is accused of murdering his wife, Jacqueline, 58.

Her body was discovered in her home in Broad Oak Close on Sunday, July 5.

Hoadley, formerly of Willowfield Road, was arrested at the Chailey Heritage Foundation in North Chailey in July, and charged with her murder.

Following the court hearing today, the case against him was adjourned until January 4.
