Emergency services respond to report of ‘man in distress’ on East Sussex pier

Emergency services have responded to reports of a ‘man in distress’ on an East Sussex pier, police have said.

The incident occurred at Brighton Palace Pier at 3.10pm this afternoon (April 29).

Sussex Police said officers spoke to the man, who was taken into the care of the ambulance service.

A Sussex Police spokesperson said: “Emergency services responded to a report of a man in distress on Brighton Palace Pier on Tuesday (29 April) at 3.10pm.

“Officers spoke to the man and he was taken into the care of the ambulance service for medical checks.”
