Thieves stole food from a freezer when they broke into a property in Henfield last week.

Police say that the burglars broke a lock on a garage door in Staples Barn between January 27 and January 28.

They say a ‘number of items’ were taken, including the freezer food.

In a separate burglary, a generator and power tools were snatched during a break-in at Woodmancote.

They were taken from an outbuilding at a property in Brighton Road some time between 8pm on January 29 and 8am the following day.

Police ask anyone with any information about the thefts to contact them by calling 101.
