The following are the latest results contributed by HM Courts Service, for cases sentenced by West Sussex Magistrates’ Court sitting at Worthing and Crawley from August 7 to 13, 2020.

Tyler Howells, 24, of Victoria Road, Emsworth, was given a community order with Building Better Relationships programme requirement and Rehabilitation Activity Requirement, and must carry out 80 hours’ unpaid work after admitting assault by beating in Emsworth on April 26, 2020. He was also given a restraining order and must pay £95 victim surcharge, £85 costs. He also admitted causing £285 damage to picture frames, potted plants, a wine glass, television and wall plaster in Emsworth on April 26, 2020, no separate penalty.

Jack Berry, 24, of Millfield Close, Chichester, was given an 18-week prison sentence, suspended for 18 weeks, with Rehabilitation Activity Requirement after admitting disclosing a private sexual photograph or film without the consent of the person featured, with intent to cause distress in Chichester on August 6, 2019. He was given a six-week concurrent prison sentence, suspended for 24 months, after admitting sending an electronic message that was grossly offensive or of an indecent, obscene or menacing character. He was also given a restraining order and must pay £122 victim surcharge, £85 costs.

George McMillan, 24, of Foxes Croft, Barnham, was fined £230 and must pay £32 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting drink-driving (189mg of alcohol in 100ml of blood) in Shripney Road, Bognor Regis, on March 14, 2020. He was disqualified from driving for 36 months. He also admitted driving without insurance, no separate penalty.

Lewis Buckland, 23, of Esmonde Close, Littlehampton, was given a community order with Rehabilitation Activity Requirement and must carry out 150 hours’ unpaid work after admitting three charges of drug-driving (76ug/l cocaine, not less than 800 ug/l benzoylecgonine and not less than 468 MDMA) in Middleton Road, Middleton, on December 26, 2019; and failing to stop after an accident in which damage was caused to another vehicle in Littlehampton on December 26, 2019. He was disqualified from driving for 18 months and must pay £90 victim surcharge, £85 costs. He also admitted driving without insurance in Littlehampton on December 26, 2019, no separate penalty.

Joseph Groombridge, 24, of Clover Mead, Bognor Regis, was given a community order with Rehabilitation Activity Requirement and fined £100 after admitting drink-driving (87mg of alcohol in 100ml of blood) in Shripney Road, Bognor Regis, on December 22, 2019; and two charges of drug-driving (3.5ug/l Delta-9-THC and 141ug/l benzoylecgonine) in Shripney Road, Bognor Regis, on December 22, 2019. He must pay £85 victim surcharge, £85 costs, and was disqualified from driving for 12 months.

Rachel Burton, 30, of Stane Street Close, Codmore Hill, Pulborough, was fined £260 and must pay £34 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting drink-driving (83mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath) in Redkiln Way, Horsham, on July 13, 2020. She was disqualified from driving for 12 months.

James Cable, 37, c/o Brickfield Close, Bognor Regis, was discharged conditionally for 12 months and must pay £22 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting causing wasteful employment of the police by knowingly making a false report to give rise to apprehension for the safety of persons or property in Lancing on May 6, 2020. He also admitted breaching a conditional discharge order, no action taken.

Kate Ambrose, 41, of Petts Close, Selsey, was discharged conditionally for six months and must pay £21 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting sending WhatsApp messages conveying a threat to cause distress or anxiety in Chichester between December 17 and 21, 2019.

Marek Palacz, 36, of Southdown Road, Bognor Regis, was fined £50 after admitting disorderly behaviour while drunk in Southdown Road, Bognor Regis, on March 16, 2020. He was fined £100 and must pay £100 compensation, £32 victim surcharge, after admitting assaulting an emergency worker, a police officer, by beating in Bognor Regis on March 16, 2020.

Luke Goodge, 30, of Plaistow Road, Loxwood, was fined £80 and must pay £32 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting failing to provide a specimen of blood when required in Worthing on April 2, 2020. He was disqualified from driving for six months. He was also fined £120 after admitting driving without insurance in Winchester Road, Worthing, on April 2, 2020.

Oliver Stott, 20, of Leaman Close, Bognor Regis, was fined £255 and must pay £34 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting drink-driving (57mg alcohol in 100ml of breath) in Sea Road, East Preston, on May 15, 2020. He was disqualified from driving for 14 months.

Jacek Pyczot, 28, of Elbridge Avenue, Bersted, was given a community order and must carry out 80 hours’ unpaid work after admitting drink-driving (97mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath) on the North Bersted bypass on May 11, 2020. He must pay £95 victim surcharge, £85 costs, and was disqualified from driving for 23 months.

Daniel Williams, 35, of Burns Gardens, Bognor Regis, was fined £500 and must pay £83 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting drug-driving (not less than 328 ug/l ketamine) in Grand Parade, Brighton, on September 16, 2019. He was disqualified from driving for 14 months. He was fined £333 after admitting possessing ketamine, a class B drug, in Brighton on September 16, 2019.
