The Colgate Memorial Hall Fund has received £300, to be used for the upkeep of the building.

“The hall is still in regular use for local community events and often requires maintenance through local fund raising, and your donation will go a long way to keeping the building in good condition.”
The local force has also gifted £150 to Know Dementia, to help fund the Purple Angel Memory cafe in Henfield.
The cafe opened in Henfield High Street on Saturday March 7 and is aimed at people living with dementia and their families. Held in the Free Church Hall, it will be open every second Saturday from 2pm until 4pm.

“The cafe is staffed by volunteers however we pay for the premises so the money from Saxon Weald, Rotary and your good selves should keep us going for a good while.”
PCSO Bryony Sparks said: “I was made to feel really welcome at the opening of the Purple Angel Memory Cafe in Henfield and would like to wish Know Dementia every success with the project.
“The application to the Police Property Act Fund was originally made by my colleague PCSO Sue Poynter and I was pleased to present the donation on her behalf.”

PCSO Carol Boniface said: “It was a real pleasure to attend the ‘Purple Bus’ whilst it was at Storrington Leisure Centre and to present the cheque to youth workers Dan Snellor and Carlton Long, which will be used to benefit local young people.”
The donations come from the Police Property Act Fund, made up of monies received by the police from property confiscated by order of the court and then sold.
