PC Paul Cross of Horsham neighbourhood response team and PC Pete De Silvo from the roads policing unit helped the man when he was crushed beneath his car after a jack collapsed at Chanctonbury Nurseries in Ashington on September 4.

PC Cross called for assistance upon finding the man, and after PC De Silvo joined him they managed to lift the vehicle so the victim could be rescued.
